What Aktoria Robotics does
Aktoria Robotics's software lets a remote operator drive a robot with under 8 milliseconds of delay locally and about 30 across a country, its Robot Operations Center staffs trained in-house operators around the clock in the United States, Mexico and India, and it collects real-robot training data to order. Robotics companies plug into Aktoria instead of building their own teleoperation teams. Jaskaran Singh Walia, a former researcher at Microsoft, MIT and CMU, and Shreenabh Agrawal, a CMU robotics graduate, founded it in San Francisco, and it went through Y Combinator's Summer 2026 batch.
The secret behind Aktoria Robotics
Robots sold as autonomous still need a human to step in, and every one of those interventions is training data for the next model. A company that runs the humans collects that data as a byproduct of keeping robots working.
Why NZVC invested in Aktoria Robotics
We backed Aktoria because full autonomy is still years away for most robots, and deployments stall without skilled people to cover the gap. Aktoria sells that cover as a service, and each hour its operators spend on a robot also produces the data robotics labs need to train on.
