Sahha offers an API that turns passive smartphone and wearable data into digital biomarkers, health scores and behavioral archetypes, with a focus on mental wellbeing.
By reading patterns in activity and sleep, Sahha lets health and consumer apps measure depression and anxiety risk at population scale, including for the majority of users who do not own a fitness tracker. It connects to more than 500 health and wearable data sources, including Apple Health, Oura, Garmin and Whoop.
The phone alone carries enough signal. Because Sahha reads behavioral patterns from a handset rather than depending on a wearable, mental health measurement reaches the majority of people who never buy a tracker, which is where population-scale screening has always broken down.
NZVC invested in Sahha Health from NZVC Fund I. We file the company under Bio and Healthcare on the portfolio wall.
We backed Sahha because mental health measurement still depends on surveys and clinic visits, while the signal already sits in the phone in everyone's pocket. The team took an API-first approach that lets any app add explainable, research-grounded health scores without building the data pipeline themselves. Demand for objective mental health measurement is growing fast across employers, insurers and digital health, and Sahha is positioned as the infrastructure layer beneath it.
