Looking Glass Factory launched a large-format version of its holographic display. Its light field technology projects many perspectives of a scene at once, so a group of people can see the same 3D image together with no headset, glasses or eye tracking.
We backed Looking Glass Factory because it makes 3D content viewable by a room of people at once, which removes the headset barrier that has held immersive display technology back. Larger panels are what take the technology out of the developer's desk and onto a showroom or hospital wall. The underlying light field approach is protected and hard to copy, and the team has built a real product line and developer community around it.
