Dunedin Airport signed on to Pyper Vision's fog forecasting

Dunedin Airport partnered with Pyper Vision on fog forecasting to improve aviation safety. Emily Blythe started the company with a fog dispersal method and grew it into a forecasting platform, and Dunedin and Hamilton airports, Air New Zealand and London City Airport are among its partners.

We backed Pyper Vision because fog imposes large, recurring costs on aviation, and no one had built a dedicated tool to forecast and manage it. An airport that signs up is the proof that matters, since the people who lose money to fog are the ones who decide whether a forecast is good enough to plan around. The move from dispersal into forecasting opened a software business with global reach.
