VXT raised $600,000 while its founders were still students
Luke Campbell and Lucy Turner raised $600,000 for a voicemail-to-text app they had started at the University of Canterbury in 2018. Phone makers later shipped visual voicemail and killed that wedge, so Campbell went and sat with law firms instead.
We backed VXT because phone calls remain central to legal and recruitment work, yet the systems around them are dated and disconnected from where the client records live. The team's speed, and their early success winning customers abroad from a New Zealand base, is exactly what we want to see, and it started here.
