What we collect.

Decks and pitches. When you write to team@nzvc.co.nz we keep your message and everything attached to it, which usually means your name, your email address, your company and your deck.

The NZVC letter. The subscribe box in the footer posts your email address to Buttondown, which runs the list for us. Every letter carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from the list.

Entrepreneur in Residence applications. The application form is a Google Form, so Google holds what you type into it and we read it from there.

Site analytics. This site runs Google Analytics 4 under measurement ID G-ND2L3E99D4. It sets cookies in your browser and tells us which pages are read, roughly where readers are, and which site sent them. We do not use it to work out who you are, and your browser settings can block it.

How a deck is handled.

Maia, our own software, reads every deck the day it lands and writes a summary for the partners. A partner reads the strongest of them. We do not send your deck to anyone outside NZVC without asking you first.

How long we keep it.

We hold pitch material for as long as we might come back to you about it, which has no fixed end date. Ask us and we will delete yours.

Who else sees it.

Google holds our email and our forms, Buttondown holds the newsletter list, and Google Analytics holds the site statistics. We do not sell anything we collect, and we do not pass it to anyone else except where the law requires it.

Your rights.

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it. Write to team@nzvc.co.nz and we will answer within 20 working days.
